Located at a high point over the main downtown Raleigh railroad junction, the Boylan Bridge Brewpub offers an award-winning view of the Raleigh skyline enjoyed by anyone who sits on the bright and peaceful outdoor deck. Since opening in early 2009, Boylan Bridge – a true brewpub – freshly brews all specialty craft beers on site and offers wine, spirits and a diverse food menu. The atmosphere is reserved and modest, perfect for those who want to set their mobile devices aside and gather to engage and converse in person.
Originally in 2005, the idea of Boylan Bridge Brewpub began when architect Andrew Leager wanted to utilize the extra space in a large building he leased for his cabinet shop, Special Projects LLC. Always an avid craft beer enthusiast, Andrew had been brewing, bottling and enjoying his own beer for the past decade, and he realized his passions for woodworking and brewing were a perfect match. So was born the Boylan Bridge Brewpub.
All the furniture and millwork for the brewpub was fabricated on the premises from mahogany and maple with clear finishes, including our spectacular curved mahogany bar made of a single 26” wide board. A handmade post and beam pergola, also crafted from the downstairs woodworking shop, surrounds the outdoor seating area and provides shade during the day and ambiance at night.
